The Frontier Charter

Article I: Leadership

Frontier is headed by its President. The President has veto and executive power, and is responsible for overseeing all areas of Frontier. The President, with the assistance of the other leadership members, may dictate and enforce official alliance policy.

Three Officers comprise the rest of Frontier's primary leadership:

 - The Officer of Defense is responsible for organizing and, if need be, mobilizing the military of Frontier. This includes the tracking of member activity levels.
 - The Officer of Foreign Affairs is responsible for diplomacy with alliances and nations outside of Frontier. This includes the management of embassies and treaties.
 - The Officer of Internal Affairs is responsible for ensuring that Frontier's members are taken care of. This includes the acceptance and education of new members.

The Officers of Defense and Foreign Affairs respectively are appointed by the President. The Officer of Internal Affairs is selected by popular vote of the membership on a three month term.

An Officer may be removed from leadership by direction from the President, a minimum 75% vote of non-confidence from the membership, or through resignation.

The President may be removed from leadership by a minimum 90% vote of non-confidence from the membership, or through resignation.

Upon a successful non-confidence vote, a candidate President is selected by popular vote of the membership. Upon resignation, the former President selects a successor.

Article II: Membership

Any nation in good international standing may apply to become a member of Frontier. There is an application process as directed by the government.

No nation may be a member of both Frontier and any other alliance simultaneously.

By maintaining membership in Frontier, nations agree to be bound by this Charter and by Frontier's treaties and policies.

The government may impose a trial membership on new applicants to the alliance. This trial's length will be dictated on a case by case basis by the Minister of Internal Affairs.

Membership of Frontier can be revoked from any member by a majority vote by the leadership members.

Article III: Conduct

No member nation of Frontier may engage in aggressive actions against any other nation without direction from the leadership. This includes but is not limited to spying, war, and harassment.

No member nation of Frontier may release any piece of information to outside parties which is private to Frontier or any of its members.

Member nations of Frontier must maintain an acceptable level of activity in Frontier and its communication channels.

Article IV: Amendment

Proposed amendments to this Charter may be put forth by any member of leadership, and must be approved by all leadership members and by a minimum 70% popular vote of the membership.

Article V: Ideals

Frontier is more than an alliance of nations - it is a gathering of friends and a community. Frontier exists to provide a place where its members can not only defend each other, but learn and relax as comrades. Frontier follows the path of quality before quantity and words before force.

Though the articles of this Charter may be rigid, Frontier is not. Frontier is foremost a friendly alliance, and this is evident by simply getting to know us. We encourage independent nations and alliances alike to join us in chat, unwind, and discuss any topic.
